Am I eligible?
Three criteria, published below before you answer anything. Move the controls and the answer updates as you go. There is no account, no email field, and nothing you enter is kept. Your three answers go to the same rule the assessment uses, which returns the verdict without storing them, and the page prints back that nothing was stored. Like every page here, this one loads analytics and a Meta pixel, which see that you visited. They do not see anything you enter. The privacy policy lists exactly what they get.
Whatever the answer, you leave with your accountability mapped across all eight domains of the standard. That map is the useful part, and it is yours whether we can assess you or not.

What happens next
Eligibility means you can sit the assessment. It is not a prediction that you will pass, and we do not publish one.
The certification fee is $695, paid once, after you are accepted. Renewal is every three years, by re-assessment or by published continuing education, never by a subscription. The candidate handbook itemises every fee, every timeline and every appeal route.
Applications are not open yet. The most useful thing you can do in the meantime is help decide what the assessment covers. The body of knowledge is being set through a job task analysis of people who hold the work, and it is open now. Leave your email at the end of it and we will tell you when applications open.

What is not required
We do not sell preparation and we do not require it. If you are declined, nothing on this site will try to sell you a way to become eligible, because a body that assesses you cannot also profit from preparing you for the assessment.
Published criteria
- At least two years holding accountability for how work gets done.
- That accountability is current, or ended within the last 24 months.
- Personal accountability in at least four of the eight domains.
If you disagree with the result
The rule is mechanical, so every applicant with the same facts gets the same answer. If you believe it was applied to the wrong facts, a person will review it at no cost. Write to contact@nationalboardofoperations.org.

Nothing on this page changes what you can read.
The standard is published in full whether or not you are eligible today, and the criteria you were just checked against are part of it. If a criterion looks wrong to you, the people setting the weighting are practicing operators.
