How to read the result

• Active: issued by us, and current.
• Expired: validly issued, past its expiry. NBOP requires re-assessment to recertify, so this means the holder has not re-sat, not that they failed.
• Revoked: withdrawn by us, with the reason stated on the record.
• No such credential: this number has never been issued. If it was presented to you as evidence of an NBOP credential, it is not one.

This page is the authoritative record. A PDF, an image, a LinkedIn badge or a line on a resume is not. If they disagree, this page is right.

Verifying in bulk

If you are screening a number of candidates, the same check is available as a plain HTTP request that returns JSON, with no key and no rate agreement needed for reasonable volumes.
