Verify a credential
Status. No credentials have been issued yet. Applications to sit the assessment are not open, so every search on this page currently returns nothing, and that is the true answer rather than a fault. The register and verification are live now so that the machinery is public and checkable before the first certificate exists rather than after. The most useful thing an operator can do in the meantime is help set the weighting of the standard.

Possible results: active, expired, revoked, or never issued.
The holder is not told that you looked, and cannot see who did.

How to read the result
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Issued by us, and current. |
| Expired | Validly issued, past its expiry. NBOP requires renewal by re-assessment or by continuing education, so this means the holder has not renewed, not that they failed. |
| Revoked | Withdrawn by us, with the reason stated on the record. |
| No such credential | This number has never been issued. If it was presented to you as evidence of an NBOP credential, it is not one. |
This page is the authoritative record. A PDF, an image, a LinkedIn badge or a line on a resume is not. If they disagree, this page is right.
Verifying in bulk
If you are screening a number of candidates, the same check is available as a plain HTTP request that returns JSON, with no key and no rate agreement needed for reasonable volumes.
Verification does not depend on the holder
Anyone can check a credential, free, without asking.
If you are checking somebody, you do not need their permission and you do not need an account. If you are the holder, there is no private version of your record for you to manage.
