What this course is, what it is not, and why it deliberately names almost no tools.

This is the body of practice behind the AI and Automation endorsement. It is free, it is complete, and it is not preparation for anything. It is not a course about tools and it names very few. Tools change every few months. The questions you have to answer before adopting one have not changed in forty years, and they were mostly worked out in aviation and process control long before software. If you have not run the Operator Diagnostic, run it first. Systems and tooling is one of the eight domains, and automation decisions made without a reading of the other seven tend to automate a process that should have been removed. Nothing here is required, nothing is assessed, and reading all of it confers no advantage on anyone.
